Twenty-One Basics – Part 1

The main premise of the game is to be assigned cards adding up to 21. Every competitor is dealt 2 cards. When a black jack player is given a nine or lower value card and an Ace they’ve been dealt a soft hand. When the player receives no Ace cards it is referred to as a hard hand. Once the cards have been handed to all players at the table, which includes the dealer, every blackjack player is given the chance to make 1 of six decisions:
Requesting another card (Hit): When a blackjack player announces "hit" the croupier will deal him another card, if the addition of that card makes the value of the hand to exceed twenty one the gambler will have busted and that is the end of the game, if the card pushes the value of the hand to twenty-one the blackjack player wins and if the total hasn’t yet reached 21 they are still in the game.
Keeping the hand you’ve been dealt: If a player is satisfied with the hand they’ll stand. Once this has happened the dealer will reveal his or her cards and the gambler who has gotten 21 or the closet to twenty one will acquire a win.
Doubling Down: A player might request to double down which doubles the wager they have made. As soon as you have taken this procedure you can only receive 1 additional card. The details of doubling down are normally out lined by the table or casino rules so prior to wagering make certain you’re familiar with the casino game rules. If you’re wagering at a net casino this is normally quite easy.
